Welcome to BASC



We are one of the largest Bengali Association in Southern California celebrating multiple events. We start a year with Saraswati Puja followed by Basanta Utsab (Dol), Mahalaya ,Our mega event Durga Puja and finishing with Lakshmi Puja.


As a non-profit organization we are devoted to promote Bengali/Indian art & culture in Southern California via organizing Rabindra Jayanti, Natyosandhya & various Classical concerts throughout the year.


Entertainment & Authentic Food is on Top of our priority list. Our dedicated committee in these areas work extremely hard to host the best in class artists and serve you the wide variety of bengali cuisine including sweets brought from India.

BASC members enjoy the year round participation to all BASC events including Durga Puja & Picnic. A BASC member gets free copy of yearly publication and can nominate for Board of Directors ​

BASC Publications

BASC Publication includes two annual magazine KHEYA (for adults) and Ankur (for kids) . These magazines are compiled using the contribution from our most talented members of the community

Bengali Schools

BASC runs two Bengali schools in southern California - One in the valley area and the 2nd one in Orange County (Irvine). Both the schools follow the standard curriculum based on levels.

Bengali Association of Southern California is a non-profit organization (Tax ID 95-3568482). 

Our mission is to promote and contribute to the religious, charitable, and educational activities including inter-faith understanding. In addition, BASC nurtures and promotes cultural and socio-religious activities catering to the Bengali and/or the Indian community inside or outside the USA.
We run two Bengali Schools Pathshala & Pathbhaban .
